Merzouga Desert Gallery

Erg Chebbi at every hour, the camel trains that cross it, the camps inside it, and the road out — the High Atlas under snow, the kasbahs on the desert side, and the palmeries of the Tafilalet. Every photograph is the operator’s own, taken on one of the trips Merzouga Desert Tours compares, so what you see is what runs.

Where these photographs were taken

Most of them sit within a few kilometres of Merzouga village, on the western lee of the dunes. The rest are on the two approach roads: the N9 over Tizi n’Tichka from Marrakech and the N13 through Ifrane and Midelt from Fes. The map page shows how the settlements, the camps and the erg sit against one another, and attractions and activities explains what each named place actually is.
