This page sets out how Merzouga Desert Tours makes money, what our relationship with the tour operators is, and what that means for what you read here.
We earn a commission
When you book a trip through a link on this site, Merzouga Desert Tours may earn a commission from the booking platform, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay going direct. That commission is the whole of how this site is funded.
What we are not
- We are not a tour operator. Every departure listed here is run by the company named on its card.
- We are not a ticketing authority for anything, and there is nothing here to sell tickets to: the Merzouga Desert has no gate and no admission fee.
- We are not affiliated with any camp, hotel or transport company on this road.
Operators cannot pay for placement
No operator has paid to appear on this site, to appear higher on it, or to be one of the three featured departures. Those three were chosen because they leave from three different cities, run three different shapes of trip and sit at three different prices — not because of what they pay.
Where the numbers come from
Prices, ratings, review counts, durations, group caps, inclusions and cancellation terms are the operators’ own figures, taken from each trip’s booking listing on 2026-09-03. They change without notice, and the operator’s page is always the authority. Distances, drive times, the dimensions of the erg and the climate figures are published third-party sources, named on the pages that use them.
Bookings are handled by Viator and GetYourGuide, the platforms these operators list on. Their terms, their cancellation policies and their privacy notices apply to the booking itself. Our own privacy policy covers this site.
Reviews
Every review quoted on this site is a paraphrase of a real review left on that trip’s own booking listing, with the reviewer’s handle, month and star rating as published. Critical reviews are kept — a quarter of the ones we quote are four stars or below. Nothing is invented, and no rating or review count on this site is marked up as our own data.
